One of our themes that we LOVE is our zoo animals theme. It doesn’t get enough love throughout the year because we tend to focus on holidays, seasons, and popular classroom themes, however, zoo animals is great for so many reasons. I (Allyssa) just recently created a “safari” activity for a student targeting three syllable words. She had a blast because (like me) she loves Disney and Animal Kingdom and had just been on the safari. I took that activity and ran with it and now she is KILLING the three syllable words. We used “safari”, “elephant”, “gorilla”, “antelope”, and more. It was so cute and fun. These ideas expand that safari theme into a general zoo animal theme and we hope you love it as much as we do!
