Apple Sensory Bin

Slowly, making our monthly sensory bins is becoming one of my favorite activities with my 2 year old toddler! He is in the stage where he thoroughly enjoys helping, but the best part of it is that after he helps he gets to play! He is also super patient with me as I try to get the *perfect* shot of putting it together for Instagram Reels! He is a real trooper. 

This bin was SUPER easy and as always Hobby Lobby had everything I needed. 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• Split Peas

• Big green and red apples

• Red, green, and yellow pom poms

• Apple Buttons

• Mini Hay Bales

• Mini Yellow Buckets

• Mini Scoop

• Pom Pom Tweezers 

I simply leave this box out on my coffee table (much to my husband’s dismay, because of the mess) and he finds himself for at LEAST an hour a day digging around and playing in the bin! 

Targets for this month:

• Superlatives- big, small, same different

• Colors

• Counting

• Action words- eat, dump, pour, hide

• Following directions- simple and complex

• Comparing and contrasting

• Turn taking
